Gluten-Free: Best of Expo East 2016

I was fortunate enough to be a part of the Natural Products Expo East Blogger Team, an elite team of bloggers searching the show floor for the best of the best. While I am submitting only a few selections to New Hope Network, I’ve compiled a list of awesome products I found on the show floor.

First, I’d like to thank the team of Gluten Free & More magazine for being on the show floor, being awesome – as per the usual. I love this magazine and I love being able to meet our advertisers, and sponsors on the show floor at least twice a year at these shows.

Next, thanks to my friends for always being a source of energy when my own is drained, and a shoulder to lean on in times of needs – and mostly just laughs, a lot of laughs.

I worked to find the best of the best in new products. I’ve tried to break them down into trends and groupings. Keep in mind that this is a trade show, not a consumer show, so some of these items will not be on the market for several months, if not a year.

  1. i am excited for the Laird’s Superfood Creamer because I love being able to add something to coffee, oatmeal, etc. that makes them creamy but is also giving me all kinds of nutrition.

  6. I don’t typically buy so many of the items listed. I might go out of my comfort zone with the Cave Shake. My favorite company right now is Enjoy Life Foods, I might try the ProBurst Bites.

  7. I am looking forward to Miyoko’s Creamery Aged English Smoked Farmhouse. I hope it is around here. It is so hard to find great tasting gluten free vegan cheese! I have even considered trying to make some myself.

  12. I really like the idea of the Enjoy Life travel packs. What I want to try the most is Ancient Nutrition Bone Broth Protein supplement in Cinnamon Apple. It sounds yummy and intriguing.

  14. Veggie Fries’ Veggie Tots Broccoli and Sweet Potato Tots and Sonoma flatbreads. Love the idea of a healthier tot and I make a lot of flatbreads.

  15. I’m excited about the Simple Mills Organic Frosting — I’m always a little grossed out to buy Pillsbury (even though it’s GF), so it’s great to have other options!

  16. The Wholesome! Strawberry 🍓 frosting … it’s tough to find a quick flavored frosting . And it’s pink ! And no artificial stuff! Win win

  17. I’m excited about the date paste to use in baking and the Jackson’s Honest Maple Cinnamon Sweet Potato Chips because I’m a snacker that loves sweet potatoes!

  18. I am most looking forward to the Wholesome frosting. It is a true true I haven’t had in a long time and it’s nice to remember that Gluten Free People want options and flavors other than chocolate or vanilla or snickerdoodle!
