#gffoodietour at Nourish Restaurant

Ken Scheer of Rock a Healthy Lifestyle did it again with his gluten-free foodie tour at Nourish restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ. I love Nourish, and have ever since I knew that they had an amazing gluten-free menu (and apparently has since gone totally gluten-free) years ago. So, when Ken announced that the next event was there – I was in, dragging Non-GFBF along for the ride.

Here are some awesome pictures from the event!

To get all dressed-up and girly-girl for the event, I put on some Red Apple Lipstick in the Sunkissed. It is my favorite new lipstick and matched perfectly with my orange cardigan. At least 4 other women at the event were wearing orange, tangerine, or a orange-like coral. I felt trendy and fashionable for once! Thanks, RAL!

Ken is an awesome dude, and puts on great events. See also: the plug for CanIEatHere.com and their wonderful business!

The food was awesome – and I was so happy to try so many raw dishes. I really hope to eat a lot of this next time I go to Nourish!

One of the sponsors was Crispin cider, that also owns Fox Barrel. I really enjoy a bottle of Crispin, but Fox Barrel was really awesome. I especially enjoyed their Apricot Pear cider. Although several positively mentioned the Blackberry Pear flavor, I liked the apricot one better.

If you haven’t had an Innocent Indulgence raw cheesecake yet, you’re missing out. It’s gluten, dairy, soy and egg free as well as being raw and vegan. It’s seriously beyond amazing. If I could rate it a 6 out of 5, I would. But damn, are these things expensive in the grocery store! Even on their site, it’s a splurge. Their mochaccino traditional size– 8” – 38 oz – serves 12-16 – is $49.95. However, I’m still considering getting one for Christmas this year instead of making my own pie.
